I really enjoyed how quiet it was, can barely hear the main road but the ocean waves are audible enough to help put you sleep. Hammock at your door step is a game changer! The number of hours, I just watch the insect and bird wildlife during the day and the geckos at night from the hammock is just silly and I loved every moment of it.

We had a great stay at Somphoch Garden! My partner and I ended up staying for two weeks, and they let us move into the upstairs room after a few days, which was really nice. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Our hosts were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed -- laundry, organizing a scooter rental, and even helping us arrange a taxi back to Bangkok. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. It was great having a balcony in the upstairs room too. There is a restaurant on site. If you're not coming with a car/scooter of your own, just be aware that you may have trouble getting a taxi in that direction from the ferry. The taxis will try to charge you an insane amount because everyone else is typically going to the west side of the island. But once you get there, and once you have a car/scooter to get around, it's a fantastic location. There's a couple little shops and restaurants nearby, and we went on some really fun adventures around the island. The main town on the west side is less than a 20-minute drive too so we often went into town for dinner or to go to the big grocery store during our stay. We loved having stand-up paddle boards to use throughout our visit, and I think the treehouse platform and the swing were some of my favorite things about the place too! Overall, a really great stay.
