Amazing experience. The host is super helpful, friendly, and the value for the money is insanely good. We had an issue with our car not starting in the morning, and the host was super nice and helped us get going. Definitely recommended.

I stayed in the Guesthouse Pashollari for 3 nights in the lovely Berat. The position of the guesthouse is perfect in less than 10 minutes you walk down the stairs and you reach the center, and the castle is 30 minutes walking away. The view from the garden watching the city during the breakfast is wonderful and relaxing. The owner and his son are kind and genuine people. The breakfast was very filling and tasty. The room was spacious and comfy. You can also ask for a tour to Osumi canyon Bogova waterfall and Tomori Mountain.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They truly went out of their way to make our stay feel like home. There is much to do on their property, and we felt so at peace in nature there. The food at the restaurant was delicious, along with the wine/raki. The rooms had a beautiful view of Mali Tomorrit, and overlooked lovely vineyards and olive groves. The beds were very comfortable, and everything in the room was clean and well kept. I couldn’t say enough good things to really give justice to this place. Book it!

Perfect location, very nice room, perfect view from the balcony, incredible breakfast

This was an amazing stay during our vacation. We got a nice tour trough the vineyards from Ester and her father. The evening with the wine tasting and raki was also one to remember. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Demaj. The location was perfect, walking distance to the castle and main streets, the view from the bedroom was gorgeous as well. The hosts were truly amazing, very helpful, and friendly. They also provided us with a lovely breakfast which was a great addition to our stay

Beautiful place. Very comfy- the facilities and the bed. The staff were amazing! Really helped us with the late check in, we also did a very early checkout- before breakfast , so they brought us something for the road.

This place wasn’t just a hotel, it felt like a home away from home. The hotel is owned by two incredible sisters who have created something truly special. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us like family and made sure we felt cared for throughout our entire stay. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality are something you simply cannot find in most places. Every morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast made with so much care and love. Beyond that, they took the time to give us recommendations, tips, and local insights that made our experience in Berat even more memorable. The rooms, the atmosphere, the views, the hospitality...everything was exceptional. In a world full of luxury chain hotels, Katarat reminded us that true luxury is being cared for by people who genuinely want you to have an amazing experience. I would choose Katarat Hotel 200 times over any 5-star chain hotel. It is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you’ve left. 500/10. Thank you for making our time in Berat unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back.

The location, owner, and property itself were exceptional. I booked spontaneously for one night. After an amazing experience, I decided to book for two more nights. These two nights were the highlight of my time in Berat. I didn’t want to leave. I recommend for those looking to make lifelong memories in a very special city. Special thanks to the owner for all their help and attentiveness.

Fantastic in all aspects, especially hosts

The owner is such a lovely man, who greeted us warmly when we arrived and helped us with parking and showed us to our room even though we arrived a bit early. The room itself was thoughtfully renovated, clean, and had an excellent view of Berat from the balcony. Even though the villa is above a gas station, you wouldn’t know it once you’re in the room and looking out over the beautiful city, especially at night. A particularly sweet touch was the plate of fruit the owner brought to us after a long day of exploring Berat, which was just what we needed! The place is also an easy walk to the center of town by a pedestrian walkway. We really loved this place. Felt like coming home.

Without a doubt, we would highly recommend Veranda to any travelers coming through Berat. Located just a short 10 minute walk from the heart of downtown, this quiet bed and breakfast is absolutely beautiful with immaculate gardens, a quiet setting, and spacious rooms. What really made our experience, however, was our host, Ceni. As we arrived, he helped us navigate how to park in our rental car, showed us to our room, and then sat with us explaining all about Berat on a map where he made recommendations for things to do and restaurants. (By the way, his restaurant recommendations were spot on, much better than some of the Instagram ones we tried.). He was easy-going and kind, answering all of our questions. Breakfast was provided each morning at a time of our choosing (included coffee and tea, homemade cakes, bread with different jams, cucumber/tomato/feta, and a hard boiled egg.). The air conditioning works great, as did the hot water and water pressure in the shower. Our hosts even took our laundry in the morning and returned it washed and folded. Small downsides include that it's cash only (however, we've found this to be extremely common in Albania). That being said, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Cannot recommend enough!

Everything , every corner is immaculately clean . The linens were super-white. The beautiful , huge garden , with roses and fruit trees, facing my bedroom window serves as a pleasant respite . I end up saying hello to their garden early morning . The warm hospitality of the couple is exceptional. Felt like a VIP . Would go out of their way to please . Would make great efforts to accommodate . Felt like coming home to Nannu and Nanna

Niko is a wonderful guestman. He does everything possible to make your stay perfect! Ggod bed, good pillows and an excellente home made breakfast.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Garden. The rooms are spotless and the hosts kind and welcoming. A great address.

Berat has a lot of very good guest houses but this one is really special. The room was very new and everything was in place. Toilet was like a 5-star hotel one. But this is nothing compared to hospitality and the warm welcome of the couple, Lili and Vangjel, who managed the property. They were very hospitable and made our stay so enjoyable. Homemade and fresh breakfast was enormous and super delicious. Everything was so delicious that you couldn't skip even if you were full already. Couldn't recommend enough this place. It's totally worth every penny. Important to mention that they have available parking inside their villa as well.
