B&Bs in Alter do Chao

Amazing property! The staff all went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. They helped with finding taxis, tours, information and helped us get our laundry done. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The property is lovely and the pool area is very nice. Very close to town while also being in nature and the forest.

The owner is an exceptional woman who takes really great care of her guests. She is very attentive and friendly. The rooms were super clean and some treats were available in the fridge every day. We could hang our hammocks over the beds, too. The breakfasts were delicious with lots of fruits, but also bread, ham, cheese, eggs, pão de queijo, and cakes. And the juices were fantastic, too! — all colors!

The wonderfull couple that run the place will do everything to please your stay: from the wonderfull oriental cooking of Lilush, to the deep knowledge of the forest and the culture of Indos. The property has walking paths from the lake below up into the jungle. The friendly monkeys come every morning and the sounds of the jungles are around you all the time. Down in the lake there is a kano boat, a real tradition one, And you can skeep the popular turistas activitys by taking this kano, padeling to private beaches, lunch in Alter Du Shao, or just wondering around the wonderfull andchanted forest. I dont think that you can find a complete otentice experience like that in any other place in the area of Alter Do Shao. We came for 4 nights, and stayed 9....and yet it wasnt enough....

Everything about our stay at Pousada Tauari exceeded our expectations. The room was comfortable with excellent and quiet air conditioning which is very important in the Amazon. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of variety and interesting things to eat. The location was great, just a few blocks from the main square. Most importantly, the hosts (Ricardo and Katcha) are wonderful people who went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. We owe them our gratitude and thanks for a great experience.

Amazing stay in Alter do Chao. The owners were especially kind and helpful, going above and beyond to help with tours, transfers, laundry, etc. Breakfast was tasty and homemade. The pets were a nice bonus.
