From the very first, the property felt clean and safe. The host was very welcoming, accessible, and eager to offer help in any way. The rooms were compact, but well organized with new furnishings and a shiny new bathroom. After spending a day or two there, I realized what a great location it was, with an easy walk to the metro and plenty of local restaurants, cafés, and other services. The best was it’s proximity to Parque Floresta, a lovely neighborhood park with dogs chasing balls, children playing, folks sitting around greeting their neighbors, a Saturday farmers market, cafés and restaurants, and a terrific fruit vendor.

Wonderful hosts, Javier and Nora were very accommodating to my needs. The location was ideal, close to Avenida Ochenta, the Metro, innumerable good restaurants and five D1 supermercado and an independent and very good supermarket a couple doors down. For urban convenience, pleasant and respectful household vibe and surprisingly quiet location only meters from Avenida Ochenta, this hostal is very hard to beat. I particularly enjoyed the house pets. Pacheco is the family's Yellow-crowned Amazon Parrot and is amazingly talkative and chattery. The sounds Pacheco makes go beyond just words. Absolutely wonderful! Nemo is their sweet and smart, floppy-eared Chihuahua. He will bark harmlessly at you until you pet him, after which, you have made a friend for life!
