B&Bs in Port de la Selva

We had a great time, we felt welcomed right away and enjoyed the rooms and the garden! The receptionist gave recommendations for meals in the area and was very attentive and kind!

Everything. Absolutely everything. Karen was an amazing host. The view is worth the cost alone but a must is her breakfast. If you stay, do yourself the favor and get her breakfast every day.

The hosts Carme y Joan and the hostal Totsompops were a welcome surprise for this solo traveler. Authentically kind and warm people. Will come back for sure... Espero veure't més aviat que tard! Also, both the dinner and breakfast were fit for a king/queen! Cafe con leche was the best ever, as was the shower head and water pressure!! The room took care for the smallest of details, and soooo clean! :} Gràcies per tot!

The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpfull and accommodating. We had a the warmest welcome, their coffee and tea bar is really good and for free, with cookies, sweetreats, they even surprised us with freshly made cake. also they let us recover first from our bus trip and let us rifght away go to our rooms and check in later, i thought that was very thoughtful. the commone area was so beautiful with various places to hang out and games to play, eveything done very tastfully. the breakfast is incredible, nothing pretentious, but they had eveything, freshly made crep, cut fruit, pan con tomate, etc. you can oder for free eggs by your desire and all drinks from the cafe.

This is a nice room, exactly as promised, at a fair price, 53€ for 2, mid-February during Carnaval. The room is not exactly spacious in that the bed takes up most of it, but the rooftop terrace (no shade) and well-equipped, shared, penthouse kitchen (complimentary coffee, dishwasher, but no refrigerator) easily makes up for that. Wifi was good and the in-room mini-refrigerator worked. A very nice touch was that a bottle of sparkling wine and two bottles of water were complimentary. The building is just one long block from the waterfront. Mobility-impaired guests should be aware there is no elevator. The entrance is on a one-lane street in the center, so if you're driving be prepared to unload very quickly while traffic patiently builds up behind you. The listing says "No parking available" but Roses has plenty of free street parking (white lines), and the "blue line" spaces are fee-free from November-April, However, the spaces are heavily used. At 3 AM, I still had to pass hundreds of spots before finding a single empty one I could squeeze my Berlingo into, about a 5 minute walk from the room. I could not get the supplied room code to work but when I messaged the owner, it was unlocked remotely in minutes. Once in the room there are 3 fobs that open doors directly without codes during your stay. The city tax (0.66 €/person/night according to booking.com, 1 € per the owner) is collected in cash in a container, so be sure to have some Euro change on hand. As an almost cashless traveler, I did not, requiring an extra trip back to the car to root around on the floor for coins. I don't understand why booking doesn't include this in the advance payment.
