Everything was as expected. Nice big room with plenty of space to walk

An outstanding location. On our first arrival, the urban address was a little off-putting for us, but inside the gated entrance (which is the correct entrance, not the door at the street address), the courtyard is landscaped and has a pool, an oasis of quiet from the street, and the facitlies are modern and very comfortable. We had a split-level unit, master and bath upstairs and toilet downstairs (other reviewers mentioned some problems with this, but, though not ideal, we did not find this an issue because the stairs were excellent, railings and even spacing, and safe surfaces). Living area downstairs was spacious, large window opening out to a terrace. Room was clean and large for two people, bed comfort, breakfast was simple and portion was adequate. Bread was excellent.

There is everything in a small room ;) Everything you might need is squeezed into this tiny room. Plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, and even a fold-out bed tray... And a perfect shower. Great.

Unfortunately we only were here one night; we would have loved to stay longer! We needed a convenient place to stop and one where we could park safely with our bikes. It was so refreshing to sit on the terrace and enjoy the quiet. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The location is a short drive to the center of Obernai

While the photos online are accurate, they can’t capture how enchanting the space truly is—immaculate rooms, spacious baths, supremely comfortable beds, fresh linens, and décor that blends elegance with warmth. Created with evident care and love, it’s not just a place to stay, but a place to slow down, savor the moment, and quietly fall in love with Alsace. And then there are the hosts—Nadia and Olivier—the true heart of this magical place. Gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind, they elevate the stay from wonderful to unforgettable. Each morning the lovely Nadia delivers a beautiful basket filled with local delights—homemade jams and juices, cheeses from the region, meats, yogurts, fruit, and fresh breads—accompanied by handwritten notes that feel as if you are opening presents. After a few mornings like that, one seriously contemplates moving to Bischoffsheim and asking if they could stay forever. Breakfast quickly became a cherished culinary daily ritual. Their kindness shone even brighter when flight delays caused us to miss our trains from Paris. Navigating travel hiccups in another language can be stressful, but Olivier’s calm guidance and reassurance made all the difference, reminding us just how deeply cared for we were. We definitely will be travelling to the Alsace region again and there is only one place we will ever consider staying. Our heartfelt thanks to Le Fenil du Grand Dormeur for creating memories we will treasure for a lifetime. This was not just a stay; it was an experience, and one we will never forget.

Christine and her husband were wonderful hosts. We went there to relax and the facilities were perfect. The pool was excellent, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

This was a true bed and breakfast. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and the rooms were very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We booked the family room and a double room for our family of six, and we had plenty of space. Our kids loved the pool. The courtyard was a little slice of paradise.
