Easy access (despite no in person reception). Very clean, modern room with thoughtful shared amenities (fridge, coffee, water). Awesome shower. 10 rooms (total), only two of which were in use so my stay was very quiet. I didn't use the garden area, but it looked lovely. I was walking the Rota Vicentina (Historical), so I didn't have a lot of extra time to check out the town, but I did walk to the Ermida de Nossa (a combo spring fed pool/fountain) which I highly recommend. Dinner at the next-door restaurant (Cafe A Lareira - say hi to Samantha, Hugo and Jessica for me!) was excellent and very informative as the South African/Portuguese owners speak perfect English and know the area very well.

The place is amazing and very close to beaches and other locations by car. We’ve been treated as family members by the staff (human and pet, more on that further down). Suzana made the most amazing snacks for us! There were days we didn’t went to lunch out and we simply bought some salads on the market and asked for the utensils. We were told to make use of everything and anything we needed. They have also some bicycles to use and go around town as needed. Then even if you’re not won over by the people, there’s “Chico” the resident rescued cat that strolls around the place. He’s very social and friendly and it will melt your heart! It’s definitely a place to return to, no doubt about it in my mind.

The owners, Mário and Rute, are extremely nice and friendly, and very invested in making your stay as pleasent as possible. The rooms are very clean and the common kitchen/living room and the toilettes as well. The hotel is extremely peaceful as there are mostly fields in the surroundings. You can cook or prepare light dishes, and use the kitchen as your own. In the balcony you can watch the beautiful sunset everyday. By night, it's very silent and enjoyable in the garden, and the starry sky is to die for.

This was our 2nd stay at peaceful Monte do Cerro farm and enjoyed it very much. The 1 bedroom house was requested because we liked it so much last time, cozy and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 pups. The fireplace with ample wood was so nice. I can see the house also accommodating 2- 3 children. The kitchen is well equipped and we were prepared to make most of our meals as a healthy and substantial breakfast comes with the stay. Linens, towels and bedding was ample, we were set. We, including the pups, loved our walks to see the farm animals. Great rejuvenating 5 nights and we will be back next year after Cmas.

Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.
