B&Bs in Funchal

The guest house is in a quiet area with public parking space, a bit off the city center which we liked. Although it seems small, the house offers quite many rooms, yet it never seems crowded. Breakfast was really good (buffet with yogurt, fruits, eggs, bacon/pancakes/.., bread, croissants, tea, coffee, juice....) and available from 7.30-10.30. You could even have it on the sunny terrace with sea view. Our room + bathroom were not too big but everything was clean, hot water, soap available. Also there's a kettle and tea, coffee, water in the room. Beds are comfortable. Staff is very friendly (check-in outstanding!). There's also a little library room, where you can borrow books and chill on the couch. We didn't use the pool, but you could. The rooftop terrace with view over Funchal is also great for good weather days.

such wonderful friendly staff. lovely terrace. decently equipped kitchen. the room was spacious and well equipped. the location is pretty handy for walking everywhere (lots of slopes though). Good value for money. highly recommend this place

Everything was excellent. The property was beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, the view was amazing, and every detail made the stay feel special. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into making guests feel welcome.

the room was very clean, the hosts very nice and helpful. The parking (if available) is close and pretty spacious.

I travel for a living and don’t often write reviews, enjoyed the stay immensely. The night staff in particular were extremely accommodating. Especially the gentleman who checked me in and helped with my booking. I ran into a small problem with the AC unit but they fixed it without any hesitation. The pool bar and large lap pool were nice to enjoy and they have a concierge who can handle your trips. Also a nice surf shop downstairs. It’s a one stop shop with easy access into town for dinner as well.

The apartment is excelent. Huge room well equipt kitchen. The location is also exeptional. In the oldtown. The communication with the host was on the one hand good, because it was easy to find the apartement and to get the key from the keybox. It was a great help from the host that we got an information about some parking houses nearbay. We chose the Santa Luzia parking house. The dayli fee is 5 EUR. On the other hand there was a problem with the communication regarding the elevator.

Place was clean and had all the items I needed included a washer for laundry. Very centrally located able to walk to get groceries, toiletries, restaurant food, and public transportation. Day trip tours were easy to pick up right around the corner. Area felt safe and quiet. Host was extremely nice. Wish I could stay longer!
