There was one particular staff member who was so helpful, he showed us how to use the microwave and was just really kind. The view of this place is phenomenal, I know there were some fancier hotels at sea level and I think those really miss out on these gorgeous views. We watched sea eagles flying in and it was a delight. The onsen was wonderful and quiet. We had tatami beds and western beds. The common areas had beautiful views as well, cool hand painted murals, and interesting books. This place was just delightful with great views.

ゲストハウス潮目 is a recently renovated guest house in Shibetsucho where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge.

No breakfast provided. Parking is plentiful. Staff were very friendly and allowed me to go watch them start up their boat and go fishing early in the morning.

Yamamoto-san and his family were so accommodating and friendly. The homemade meals were exceptional and they are good company. The privacy of the guest room at the top level was very comfortable. The room was well-thought out and well-lit and has good views of the neighbourhood.

It's right in the forest/field area close to Nakashibetsu. The house was stunning with natural wood structure, vintage furniture and tasteful design. The host was very nice and personally gave us a warm welcome. Really recommend it!
