The entire experience is perfect! Sandra and Nicolas are some of the best hosts ever experienced in over 35 years of traveling. They were so wonderful and helped make the experience spectacular, as they place the heart into the house boat. All of their recommendations for cellars and tasting champagne were spot on. Their attention to detail and desire to make the experience special was felt in every detail. They crafted the house boat themselves and the love they have for others having a good trip is very evident. Nicolas playing the saxophone during our last day cruising the canal was one of several examples of their efforts. The two bedrooms were very well proportioned with my family of four having plenty of space. Taking a tour through champagne costs separate from the booking, but easily worth the extra money as the itinerary that Sandra creates is both flexible and wonderful! You could stay on the house boat and utilize as a base for your travels. However, traveling along the canal and the Marne while enjoying champagne was an experience of a lifetime, and the hot tub in the evenings was a special way to relax after fun days of walking through vineyards and towns. It is impossible to overstate the wonderfulness of this experience if you love champagne or idyllic trips through France.
