Boats in Vledder

My granddaughter and I loved staying this unique, one of a kind place. It was amazing to sit on the deck and watch the boats float by. It was spotless, it had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. We could easily walk to the famous canals, grocery stores and the bus stop. There are even walking trails nearby. The owners were very welcoming and kind. After 2 weeks of touring around Europe it was so nice to come here to relax and enjoy this fabulous area.

We’re so glad we met Kristen. It’s natural to feel nervous when you’re traveling, especially if you’re traveling by bus and train like we did, rather than renting a car. But Kristen has a solution for that too—she met us right at the bus stop and helped us explore this magical, beautiful village. This boat, which accommodates a maximum of two people, has everything you’ll need. It’s a 5-minute walk to the city center and a 15-minute walk to the supermarket. There are nice restaurants around, but don’t forget they all close around 8 p.m. (including the supermarket), so it’s better to do your shopping in advance. Staying on a boat is a very different and wonderful experience. Don’t forget to chat with the other boat travelers around you—you’ll hear unique stories from each of them.
