The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant hours are clearly posted and the menue good quality and not very expensive. I would definitely stay there again if I visit the area.

The Rooms are in a renovated farmhouse that is beautifully restored with bright colors and attractive style. The kitchen is nice with sufficient utensils to cook meals. The room is comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the shutters allowed for a very dark sleeping environment. The views from the windows and balconies are pastoral. We enjoyed watching the river, the locals gardening, sheep grazing, and the views of the mountains. It is very quiet and very relaxing. There are nice walks you can take from the hotel. We fell in love with Carenas. It is a good base point to visit the surrounding areas, or like us, to relax after days of sightseeing and travel.

Quiet. Sky filled with little swallows. Nice old timey vibe. Sunny welcoming deck. The cleaning lady showed us how to raise the metal shutters. It would have been dark and cold otherwise. The people seem proud of their village.
