This place was absolutely amazing. I don’t know how anybody could give it less than a 10!!!! Especially the man that owns the place that walks you to your room and gives you an overview of the place and restaurant recommendations and he’s there for you if you need anything he’s such a special man!!!

New, clean, view, close to beach and restos.

I could watch the sunset from the balcony. It has a beautiful pool area for lounging and it’s walking distance from Katapola. It’s like a little oasis in the Mediterranean mountains, away from the busyness of the port. The staff is super warm, friendly and welcoming.

The location is very convenient. The store is steps away yet the surrounding area is quiet. Parking is available.

This place is very cute and the owner is super sweet. He goes above and beyond to give you the best room available. It may not be the exact room you think you booked but it has a sea view, very affordable and perfect location.

It was wonderful from beginning to end! He met me at the port when my ferry arrived and helped me with my luggage to his accommodations, which were right near the port. Up high with BEAUTIFUL view of the port and Amorgos! The place is typically Greek with bright white buildings and bright blue shutters. Very clean, very comfortable bed and nice hot shower! He was so helpful with showing me where the bus stop is in town, the bus schedules, and anything else I needed. When I hand washed some clothes, he let me hang them out to dry on his line where he hung the bed sheets. Amorgos itself is so charming, quaint, and small - a refreshing change from my visit to Crete just before! Yet lots to do with a variety of terrain to enjoy! Then, he also helped me walk back to the port with my luggage upon my departure.

Angela is a wonderful hostess, always available to your every need. The location is terrific. Beautiful sunset views from our front porch. We sat a bit back from the road but we're so close to the action. Small walking distance to the ferry port, a beach, amazing restaurants and grocery stores. Parking right at the entrance of the room. We had many cat and chicken friends visiting daily. We highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very functional. Large shower. Perfect for a couple.

Titika thought of everything--from having hiking sticks available, to having a wash bin for clothes, to hot water, to a friendly face, and I could go on and on!

My room was clean, modern, spacious and comfortable with 2 lovely balconies with wonderful views. The bed was really comfortable and a step up in comfort from most Greek mattresses. The garden is lovely and the location is great- just 2 min walk to shops and restaurants and the bus stop, but very quiet. AC and hot water worked very well.

We chose Castello Amorgos Suites for our honeymoon, and it exceeded all our expectations! Perfectly situated between Chora (the capital) and Katapola (the port), it offers easy access to a variety of excellent restaurants, stunning sights, and beautiful beaches. The facilities are brand new, impeccably clean, and incredibly peaceful. Upon our arrival, Andreas and Eliza greeted us warmly with psimeni raki (a local liqueur) and pasteli (a local sweet treat). Andreas provided fantastic recommendations for restaurants, excursions, and bars, each one a delightful experience! The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, made from the freshest local ingredients. The entire team at Castello was exceptionally kind and hospitable, making our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return to Amorgos and stay at Castello again. For anyone seeking genuine Greek hospitality in a superb location, Castello is the perfect choice!

Extremely convenient location, clean and spacious room, and extremely friendly/helpful host (Sophia)! She met us as we left our ferry and immediately offered a seat at her cafe, where she showed us a map of the island and explained all the important sites to see. We showed up with little planned so her advice was much appreciated. We were also able to rent a car at a very reasonable price which was so convenient. If you’re taking the ferry into/out of Katapola, you could not pick a better location!
