Vacation Rentals in Edam

The location was perfect for us! We prefer to stay outside busy cities and Edam was a great choice for us. We didn't have a car so we walked everywhere or used public transportation. It is an easy 20 - 25 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Central Station to Edam Bus Station and then a 5 minute walk to Fenix Edam. There was a grocery store within a 15 minute walk and great restaurants within 5 - 10 minute walk. Awesome French bakery/bread shop nearby too. The unit was super clean, tastefully decorated, and bed was very comfortable. Everything you need is there and we loved it. The hosts were awesome! Eva met us and showed us the unit and was super accommodating with any further needs. Robert and Eva are both wonderful people and fun to chat with. There was a folder with restaurant suggestions and other highlights in Edam. The town of Edam is super cute and fun to walk through. The adjacent town of Volendam is also very nice at the harbor area. It is a great location and launching point to other areas north of Amsterdam, especially if you want a nice stay out of the busy city center of Amsterdam. We would absolutely stay here again!

I had a wonderful 2-night stay at Patrick’s studio guesthouse! The space was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Patrick was a fantastic host, responsive and welcoming, and made sure I had everything I needed. The guesthouse had all the essentials and more, with a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a peaceful atmosphere. I especially appreciated the quiet neighborhood and the easy access to local spots. Would definitely stay here again—highly recommended!

Great stay within easy walking distance of Volendam attractions. The Manager was exceptional in terms of communication and willingness to accommodate special requests- ie baggage storage.

Cozy location and excellent breakfast served

The apartment is the ground floor of a beautifully renovated old building. It boasts a bathroom with spa tub, separate shower,2sinks and heated floors. The bed is very comfortable. New modern furniture grace the great room and the modern kitchen has all you need if you want to cook. Hosts also provide some snacks and drinks. There is a lovely private garden with a large table (gorgeous large table inside also). The washer and separate dryer are easy to use. You can pull up to the front to unload luggage then park for free along the canal. The view of the canal and the shops is lovely. The area is very quiet at night even though very central. It is an excellent place to stay if you are touring Volemdam, Marken, Hoorne and Alkmar( don’t miss the Friday morning cheese market action!) or the Zuiderzee open air museum ,which are all a close drive. There is personal attention from the hosts when you arrive and they are available if you need anything. If this accommodation is available for your dates, do not wait to book it or it will be gone. The place is fabulous!

I was so impressed with my stay here! The host was truly lovely, offering exceptional helpfulness and kindness. The house itself was adorable with a fantastic ambiance, nestled in a beautiful natural setting. Although its location was a little out of the way and necessitates having a car, the overall experience was wonderful.

The location was excellent, very close to the waterfront and restaurants, and the apartment was comfortable, clean and convenient for our family stay. The hosts were also very friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant.
