We stayed here because we were attending a traditional pork festival nearby and needed a place to spend the night. Since we were traveling by car, this was a great choice—easy access and parking available, which made everything very convenient. We only stayed for a quick overnight, and unfortunately didn’t try the breakfast due to a family matter, but we really enjoyed the stay. The room was very spacious, had air conditioning, and the price was excellent for what we got. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely return in the future when we’re in the area again. A really nice place to stay.

Beautifully renovated house in the center of Vidago within walking distance from a fountain where locals (and tourists) get fresh water. Leonardo, the host, was a very kind and considerate host, making sure that we-including our dog- were comfortable in our spacious and stylish room. The house is really spacious and well-decorated. Even with the heat, we were able to stay cool because of the construction. There is a public pool close by that we enjoyed, and the nearby town is very cute. If you are eager to explore the area by car, it is a good spot, but it is not walkable at all.

I have been traveling around North Portugal for over two months, a week here and a week there, trying to settle in my head where to purchase a home. Exhausting and frustrating is a mild description of my physical and emotional state. Casa do Meio do Povo was so relaxing and gloriously situated that I did not want to do anything but read a book, lay in the shade, walk the grounds and take in the peace of my surroundings.
