Vacation Rentals in Mirna

Very hospitable hosts. Wonderful house. Gorgeous nature. At the same time, not far from the highway. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to stay there, but we had a wonderful rest during the trip.

Fairy tale Christmas! It is a rare chance to meet the perfect combination of genuine hospitality, thoughtful serenity, simplistic comfort, and a sense of belonging in one place. Everything seemed, at the same time, to have kept its authenticity of nature, from the trees on the hilltop behind the house, to the joyful morning wake up sheep baaing, and to have been put there by a caring hand, trying and succeeding at creating beauty and organic harmony. These are the hands of the wonderful human beings who own and tend to the property with such love and attention, that you will always feel welcome and at home and thought of as a friend rather than a customer. Daughter Nina, mom Marietta, and the invisible but omnipotent dad Janez. From the always replenished stacks of firewood kindling, to the clean driveway, to the well fed and obviously happy cows and sheep, it is clear that the hosts put their hearts into everything they do and it's not just for the money. We knew from the start that this would be a Christmas to remember for our whole family. Our 19 month old daughter had never seen a live farm animal yet. Nina not only volunteered to show us around the farm, but did it on Christmas Eve when she should have been at home having a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine. This was perhaps the highlight of the entire trip for our daughter. Almost a week later, she's still mooing and baaing, after seeing her first live cows and sheep. Nina always kept in touch with us, inquiring if we needed anything, if we were warm and comfortable, if we liked the jacuzzi. Ah, the jacuzzi! Such bliss. We traveled daily to nearby castles and towns and tried to see as much of beautiful Slovenia as a short winter day would afford. And there is a lot to see. The jacuzzi was what allowed us to truly relax after a day of driving and walking and to recharge our batteries for the next day's adventure.

Very lovely, luxurious cottage.

This property was very cozy and perfect for the winter holidays. We got lucky and had snow as well! The view is outstanding and the sauna/jacuzzi option is definitely worth it. The cottage itself has everything that you need. We were able go cook a meal with no issues. The host is lovely and very helpful, checking in to make sure all was well. He even helped us by ordering our delivery order the first night! Location wise, you can’t beat it. You’re in the middle of Slovenian nature, but about 10mns from town and 40mns from Ljubljana. All in all, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Apartment was just as described. Very clean. We stayed only for one night as stop on our trip and we needed place near highway.

The cottage is pretty small, but still enough for family of six. Everything was exceptional.

If you want to live in a typical beautiful place of Slovenia - then this variant is for you. If you want to have everything needed in your staying - then again, this variant is for you. Hm, I'm a bit incorrect... actually this house has much more than most of livings! And very clean./ Ah, the thing that I should start from: the host, Michael is always ready to help, to advice, and just to wish a nice day :) We stayed with 2 children and 2 dogs, and had lots of pleasure walking around, driving to Ljubljana and smaller cities/villages, visiting thermal pools and so on.

The place is amazingly equipped with kitchen, dinner table, full bedroom and a balcony with great view to the south. Vineyards in the property are a charm. Jacuzzi was good experience. There is a place to light a fire whether to warm you or to cook a bbq.
