This place is wonderful! The host is very welcoming and friendly. The area where it is located has a few breakfast, dinner, and bar spots in walking distance, very convenient. And there is a beautiful view of the water, perfect to see the sunrise.

A great homestay. Stella was awesome, and told us where everything was, helped us rent a car and return it and brought me a shirt to the ferry that I had forgotten in the room! Easy to get to from the ferry terminal and friendly kitty and shiba dog for company. Quiet and peaceful, may want to bring eye mask for lights at night.

The auntie whose home we stayed at was very warm and welcoming. She explained where to go and what to do. We communicated in Mandarin, although she speaks a few words of English as well. They picked us up from the ferry station. Communication prior to the stay was clear -- they are upfront that they don't provide towels, and they strongly advise you bring all the cash you need because there are only two ATMs on the island and they don't work with foreign cards. The auntie was very helpful in helping us get a rental car -- you will need a car or scooter to get around on the island. Our room had a sea view, and had air conditioning. She cooked us breakfast (essentially, toast and bacon).

Great value, the staff were super nice! They offered to take our luggage to the port on the last day while we went to return the scooter, which was very considerate. I stayed in the backpacker room, the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was frugal but clean. The location is just great and the whole place has a great vibe. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Really lovely homestay run by a local from Orchid Island with young local staff. Friendly dogs, clean and functional with a fridge and water machine and all the basics in the rooms. Other locals we chatted with also said the boss is well-respected on the island. The rooms are spare but very clean and functional. The beds are firm but I prefer them that way. The staff was kind enough to let us stay a little later in one of the two rooms after our boating activity. The staff speak some English though activities on Orchid Island are usually entirely in Mandarin. We did boating, snorkeling and an underground house tour through Banai and the quality of the excursions was good.

Accommodation looked like in the picture, maybe even better :) it was wonderful to have a view to the ocean from the terrace in front of the room. At first glance the village looks like not much is going on, but there are several good restaurants aroud and even mexican restaurant with bar. Highly reccomend, would love to come back!

Extremely convenient location being located right next to the ferry terminal. Also having a well stocked 7-11 right next door. Great views from our windows. And the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well provided for during our stay. My son accidentally left his hat in our rental car and the owner brought it to us at the ferry dock just before our departure. Such incredible service!
