If you’re visiting Nizwa, we’d definitely recommend staying at the Omani Guest House. We spent two nights in Nizwa: one at the Omani Guest House and one at another traditional inn - and we much preferred the Omani Guest House. The main reason was Ali, the owner, and all the amazing staff. They were very welcoming and friendly, which made our stay really enjoyable.
The location of the guesthouse is perfect, right by Nizwa Souq, so everything from cafes to restaurants is just a short walk away. The rooms have a lovely traditional decor, and our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely return.

Amazing Desert Experience – Peaceful, Clean, and Unforgettable!
I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars.
What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect.
Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience!
And the food was really nice too.

Stayed for one night in one of the luxury bubbles, it was a wonderful experience. Peaceful (despite being the weekend and a lot of dune bashing going on in other luckily more remote camps) atmosphere in the deserts with ample options for activities. Proper 4x4 and sufficiently lowered tire pressure absolutely a must if you want to drive to the camp yourself (deep sand). What made the stay particularly memorable was the exceptional hospitality and care by Salim, the owner, and Lenin, who is running the camp day by day.
