Vacation Rentals in El Salvador

If I could give a thousand stars, I would!!! I will never stay anywhere else and it’s a miracle and a blessing I found this place. I had another booking through booking.com, arrived and they said cash only when it’s in BOLD letters in the email that they do NOT accept cash. Basically, I had to look for another place and found El Mangal B&B and I’m so happy I did! The host was willing to let me buy an Amazon purchase to stay at his place since I had no cash and originally and wasn’t going to be able to get any. He is an angel! It’s like the heavens opened up and delivered me to his Bed & Breakfast! First off, this place is incredible! Private parking, A/C, HUGE room and bathroom, reclining couch, refrigerator, tons of space in bathroom to put things (important to a women), flat screen tv, lots of space for putting clothing. They stock the fridge with drinks you can buy and that was super convenient. The bed is AMAZING and better than Marriott’s beds, no joke! I’m a horrible sleeper and while I was there 3 nights (I extended my stay it was so great) Ingot better sleep than I have in 20 years! And breakfast is included and so big that I didn’t eat another meal for the rest of the day or night because they serve you so much food! Breakfast was different each day and the best meals I’ve had in El Salvador, to be sure! Super lovely and humble and exceptionally nice couple. They both have hearts of gold! I wish I lived near just so I could be friends with them! Their place is a short walk to the historic center and also close to so many things that are probably on your list to see while you’re there. It’s perfect! Please do yourself a favor and book with them. You will be so happy you did!!!

Beautiful entrance, lots of flowers outside and going in towards main door, clean home, shower with warm water, close to main park, blue and white church is 4-5 blocks away, main park is 1 block away. We were there on the weekend but around the main park there are a lot of restaurants and food options, there are small “tiendas” small shops as you walk along the blocks but there is one just 4-5 houses walking upwards from the house to the right where u can add minutes to ur phone plan or buy things like water, pop, chips etc. Beds are comfortable Place was spacious for our group of 5.

Sergio and his family were very kind and nice. The location is also very convenient, especially if you're coming from the highway. It's right by the Playa El Tunco sign / entrance. You can't miss it.

The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We liked that the shared bathrooms are shared between two rooms so you have access directly from your room. The WiFi is great and the communal kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. There are plenty of markets and restaurants nearby as well, including a puperseria just meters from the front door. The hostess doesn’t speak English but she’s happy to help with anything you need. The included breakfast is very tasty.

The location, close to the sea

We loved it! The space is amazing, private, beautiful space around the pool. After our morning surf seshes we always ended up coming back here to chill midday because it was just wonderful! Fresh cold coconuts on tap, they offered us homemade cold lemonade by the pool on the house, and overall were just so kind! AC, hammocks, clean pool, great space, very very clean rooms!

From the very first day, all the staff were very kind to us. The view from our room was spectacular, and we felt so comfortable that we ended up staying two extra nights! I highly recommend taking the Seven Waterfalls tour with Antonio!

Everything, excellent facilities!!

Like other reviews for Mixtepek the rooms are clean and what you would expect for a hostel. What makes this hostal standout is the hands on approach of the owners Ovi and Daysi. They will help you with any tours, rentals or travel plans. Alonso is always around to assist with any questions you may have if Ovi is not there. In our case, we were injured in an accident and Ovi and Daysi came and picked us up when we were released from the hospital. Not only that, there were no other taxis available, so he drove us to our next destination in Nahuizalco. They are truly amazing people, we are so grateful for their kindness and generosity..

Friendly family that runs the place, air conditioning works great, and close to El Tunco Beach / town!
