Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.

It’s in a secure area and close to Rio Dulce

The location is amazing! Located directly at the river (sidearm of the big river), in the jungle, this place feels like a little paradise for nature lovers. They offer canoes for free, which are great to explore the area with. Good restaurant and friendly staff. Very clean property. I stayed 3 nights, but could easily stay longer

Super awesome host. Very accommodating and helpful! Included complimentary simple breakfast - pancakes, banana, and coffee freshly made. I arrived with a car so needed a parking space. The parking was available. No issues there. Bed was comfy and clean.
