Check in was a breeze and the friendly front desk staff gave me a beautiful room on a high floor with a fantastic view! The location was great - close to plenty of restaurants and local tourist activities. Every morning, the plentiful, complimentary continental breakfast buffet, with lots of fresh fruit and juices coffee, tea, a delicious assortment of pastries, hard boiled eggs, toast, jams and jellies, cereal etc. were available. The hotel is very clean and everything in my room worked properly. I highly recommend Oaks Darwin to anyone staying there.

Although we initially thought the location might be a little too far out of Palmerston, we soon got used to the 15 min drive. We looked forward to getting home to the peace and quiet in the evening and sitting back and relaxing before falling into the comfortable bed. There's a great patio.

We had a great view from our balcony to the harbour and could see the famous Darwin sunsets. The apartment had everything we needed including a Welcome bottle of wine and some chocies. It was in a very quiet location and a short stroll to the waterfront precinct where there are many bars, cafes and restaurants. Some nights we ate in the restaurant below our apartment and the food was great. After being out and about in the Darwin heat and humidity, the apartment was a cool and inviting place to rest and recover. In addition, we had a hire car we could park in the basement car park in the space allocated to the room. Keeping the car undercover and close by was a real bonus.
