Cheap hotels in Dali

The location is not near to the old town, it takes around 15 mins by taxi to it. However its view of this hotel is fantastic, I really enjoyed the sunset view from my balcony.

The staff is just amazing. You feel like you're staying over at someone's house. Its so comfortable and relaxed. The staff is helping you with anything and everything all the time. It was just great. It was just awesome to find this nice cute hotel. Sooo many restaurants and shops nearby too. Room sizes are just great especially the family rooms with the double and single bed. We had two rooms together and another room booked for our friends who were joining us. We got all three rooms together. We didn't even feel like we had to lock the doors when going out to other rooms.....which we didn't. GREAT JOB GUYS!!! Especially to LEO who took such good care for us throughout our stay. Thank you LEO from me and my whole family. Keep it up. Don't let people question my perfect review which I NEVER gave before in my life 😀

The view from the lobby was excellent. I liked the swimming pool and the gym. We had fun playing pingpong game.

Beautiful courtyard. Weather wasn’t great but the environment could not have been better. On a side street so not much foot traffic outside, but you’re completely enclosed in the courtyard when inside. I was the only guest at the time, so I had full attention from the staff as well as complete privacy besides the three workers including the landlord, who came to spend time on the property at night. I can speak Chinese so I spent time with the workers drinking tea and chatting. I could not have asked for a better stay in Dali. It was everything I imagined and more.

An absolute delight to experience the architecture of this restored villa. We had a warm reception and willing help with the luggage. Wonderful walk in the rice paddy nearby.

We didn’t have breakfast but hotel provides free coffee. The location is not in ancient town but in the edge of one gate.

My family and I enjoyed the breakfast spread. In particular, we enjoyed the fact that they included some local fare. The hot noodles etc was nice for cold days. We also were so glad that the hotel was just across the train station. It was awesome as we arrived late on the train. I also want to commend the staff for locating the shirt that I had "lost" after putting it in the hotel's laundry machine. Thank you so much!

Everything! Yonqi is the best host I ever met. She took extra steps to fetch us from the train station and advised where to go in Dali. She arranged transport for our next train journey although she was sick. I have traveled the world and I have never met anyone as kind and generous as Yonqi.The villa is exceptional and view amazing. Dali is my top choice destination because it's beautiful and Yonqi !

The owner is very friendly and thoughtful. He's very accommodating and considerate. The room was nice, the view from the rooftop was amazing, and the meals were great.

I really enjoyed staying here. The hostel is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The location is perfect, very close to Dali Ancient City. The price is affordable and breakfast is included. I was lucky to get a room with a stunning mountain view. There are many halal food options around and a mosque within easy reach, which made my stay very convenient.

Authentic place with an extremely friendly staff that attended to our every need and went the extra mile. The facilities are brand new in ancient building, the perfect mix. Wish I will have more chances to come back here.

Locally charmed hotel. Hotel owner was very helpful and made contact with us to ensure that we could successful find the hotel which was quite hidden in the back alley. Location was good and it was really very near to the old ancient town with lots of great food and shopping alleys. Despite of its proximity to the buzzling old ancient town, surprisely hotel was really nested in a quiet enclave.

It was an amazing boutique hotel nested within the central location of Dali Ancient Town. The property is top-notch with wonderful amenities (including persimmon trees!). But what makes this place even more phenomenal is the staff. We had the most amazing experience with Xiao Ao (小奥) and Xiao HUa (小花). They helped us throughout our stay, and treated us as family members! We will miss you all!

Super friendly staff, good location just outside the ancient city. Comfy room, good heater and comfy beds

Awesome place! Perfect location in the ancient city. There is a nice cafe in the hostel with Yunnan specialty coffees and indoor / outdoor seating. Rooms are very clean and there is even a Western style toilet. Hard to find in Yunnan. Staff speaks some English as well. Very helpful with directions to different attractions around Dali.

Really beautiful view of Er Hai lake and the mountains! They also served a decent breakfast everyday. The staff was also really polite and helpful !
