The villa was really exactly as the photos and spacious enough for a group of three. The amenities were complete, especially the kitchen. The wifi works perfectly and the TV can even play Netflix. The heating works great! Tero and Kimmo were very quick to respond to our questions. It was also nice to have a touch of Christmas with a tree decorated inside the villa.

Amazing location. We could observe aurora lights from the lake Paatari nearby. The road can be a bit tricky if the weather is bad (snow storm). The house is also beautiful. The Jacuzzi is very nice. The morning view is appeasing.

This is a cozy place for a solo trip, especially if your main goal is to chase the Northern Lights. For me, the most interesting—and challenging—part was lighting the fireplace every day. It’s not so easy for someone born and raised in a city who has never had the chance to try it before, but it was absolutely worth it. As for the Northern Lights, there’s a lake right in front of the cabin that feels like your own private viewpoint. It’s wide open, with zero light pollution, so you don’t need to drive anywhere else to see it. During my four-night stay, I was lucky enough to see it every single night, which was truly amazing!

This place is beautiful. We spend a week there and enjoyed every minute of it. The cottage is located in a calm environment directly at the river. It is easily accessible by car and an excellent starting point for expeditions. Ivalo is only a few minutes by car and from there you can pretty much go in any direction. As we visited in winter we especially enjoyed watching the northern lights while cooling down on the deck after using the sauna or settling down in front of the fire place after a cold day of outdoor activities. The entire cottage was clean, tidy and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed from comprehensive kitchen equipment to movies and games. The owner were helpful and super responsive and took very little time to reply to our messages.

The chalet has a terrace and a sauna. The chalet consists of 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette, and 1 bathroom. The accommodation is non-smoking.
