Just what I needed for an overnight stay with a nice walk to the old town.

Frederic, who greeted us, was exceptionally friendly, courteous and helpful. He even gave us a choice of rooms.

Autun is a place of great history, art, and general magic :)... It's our third time in Autun, and the best stay; ancient history is right around the corner (that mysterious pyramid ruins), everything is well appointed inside, and the parking is ample and near.

Everything. Host, Victoire, was super friendly, approachable, and incredibly helpful in finding things to do and good stores and restaurants in Autun. She was instantly available by a text or email but gave us perfect privacy in an elegantly restored centuries-old building just around the block from one of the greatest examples of Romanesque architecture in France, the Cathedral of St. Lazare. An example: we used up the coffee provided and after one email, within about 15 minutes, her husband dropped off a fresh container. Our apartment had lovely windows overlooking the street and most of the shops, restaurants, stores were only a couple of blocks away and yet there was no noise or the feeling of being in the middle of an urban scene. Of course, Autun is, in my humble opinion, the real France.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location, the staff on hand were exceptionally helpful and generous with their time and efforts on our behalf. We even extended our stay an additional day with no problems at all.
