I stayed at Clyde View BnB in Dunoon at the end of February for a weekend, and it was a great experience. Nigel and Helen were wonderful hosts — welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They really made me feel at home throughout my stay. The property was lovely, and everything was absolutely spotless — both the room and all the facilities were maintained to a very high standard. Breakfast each morning was amazing, freshly prepared and a real treat. It definitely set me up for the day. I would happily return and would highly recommend Clyde View BnB to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay with kind, welcoming hosts.

Had a great conversation with the owner over breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the beautiful harbor. I had to check in late because I caught the late ferry from Islay, and the owner was very accommodating.

The Gather - Tarbert Argyll in Tarbert provides accommodations with a garden and barbecue facilities. This campground provides free private parking and a shared kitchen.

Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at Top of the Hill Homestay free of charge. Towels and bed linen are available in the homestay.

The property is very close to the town and the ferry so definitely walkable but note it is does end with a challenging hill. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly and I couldn't ask for more in that respect. The bedroom and private bathroom were very clean and tidy, noting a short stretch of shared corridor between the two. The bed was comfy and the house/neighbourhood were quiet so I slept well. This was my first time in a home-stay type setting and would definitely recommend it and would do it again where there is an obvious cost difference to equivalently positioned hotels.

Located above its own terraced gardens, The Glenburn Hotel is a Victorian sandstone building which offers panoramic views across Rothesay Bay to the Cowal Peninsula.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a seaview room and had just enough time in daylight to see how beautiful it was. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room beautifully appointed.
