Our last accommodation was a 13 sq. meter hotel room. The Yellow House was like a mansion after that accommodation with a kitchen, 3 beds, living room, and washing machine. We even had the use of two push bikes. The fridge was loaded with bread, fruit, butter, jam, and yogurt. What a treat! What a gracious host!

Staying here was a highlight of our trip. It is spacious, clean and has everything you need. The futons are comfortable. Location is fantastic with a bus stop right outside and the free bikes to use are a nice touch. The host is welcoming and we would gladly stay again!

The lodge is cozy, spatious, very new and with a great view of the ocean! It’a close to the port and restaurants (10min walk), but you have to go up a hill (not impossible, but still up a hill). They offer breakfast (simple, same for everyone, but delicious) and dinner (a little bit pricy, so we didn’t have it).

This guesthouse was the highlight of our stays in Japan so far. Tucked away in the mountains, from your bed you can hear the river flowing and the roosters singing in the morning.
