Cheap hotels in Oyodo

The owners are so lovely, it was a really nice experience. I had just finished a 3 day hike and was exhausted so the mum made me a delicious Bento box for dinner. The living space is very spacious and light, it felt very relaxing in there. The communal kitchen and bathroom area is also very spacious and has everything you would need.

Has more amenities than more hotels that I’ve seen

Great location for visiting Yoshino, easy parking, and very friendly staff who helped us plan an early morning visit to the nearby national park. They also went out of their way to give us spoons we were missing. Good common areas, dining room, and great value for money. (There was also a charming cat that wandered into the dining room - the staff apologised but it was a nice surprise.)

Comfortable house that had more room than we needed. Host was gracious and generous with welcome gifts. Communication was good. Local maps and guides were available.

We loved having the whole place to ourselves, including a kitchen. The views in autumn were breathtaking. And we really enjoyed the sauna as well.

We'd just hiked one mountain and had a challenging 12 hour trail ahead of us the next morning. The owner was very accommodating and attentive to our needs, offering a bright, clean and spacious common kitchen that exceeded our needs to prepare dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch.

Traditional house is very interesting. Japanese style beds were quite comfortable. Kitchen was extremely well appointed. Bathrooms and showers easily accessible and had necessary toiletries. Staff was really kind. One staff even drove in the car with me to show me where to find their parking spaces. The host was super in letting us change dates on a non-cancelable reservation. Excellent location and plenty of space. Easy to find and atmospheric neighborhood. Host was responsive and helpful. Scenery in the area is beautiful.

This is an excellent Ryokan, not too far from Nara and on the way to Yoshino. The hosts are extremely friendly and will provide you, if you wish, with a Japanese dinner (seafood based) and either a Japanese or Western breakfast - both incur an additional cost. You can also self cater. The place caters for just one set of guests at a time. You have a main room with a table, piano, TV and WiFi, and a room for sleeping in. You leave these rooms to go to the toilet and kitchen area. Shower and bath is around the other side of the building. The house is quite old and is therefore cold overall, however, within your rooms there heaters which keep it very cosy and there are heating mats for the beds. Book here to enjoy a stay in a traditional Japanese house! You can also request a pickup from the train station.

Kitchen equipped with tools were very helpful as no nearby restaurants open in the evening. Proximity to Kongobuji is exceptional. The host is also very kind.
