Set in a tea plantation it had great views from the balcony Listening to nature. & the workers it was very peaceful Anjana - the manager & Jack of Traded was so pleasant & very helpful. Makes a great chicken curry!!

Beautiful former plantation house, well kept.Quiet location. Best accommodation we had on the Pekoe Trail. Great location for stages 7 and 8. Our hosts, Ruban and Murali, were fantastic - attentive, and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the Pekoe Trail and gave us good advice for our walk.

The owner was very helpful and attentive. He made sure my stay was comfortable. 5 mts walk to the city center. Steep climb to the property, I took a tuck tuck only US 0.50 cents from the train station. Owner arranged for breakfast and dinner at a restaurant next door.

There are 4 very clean, large and comfortable rooms. The rooms have everything we needed. There is a terrace with amazing views of the mountains and a very spacious living room area where we can sit, read and relax. The owners/hosts are so friendly and kind, attending to all our needs. We had dinner ordered, made by the host family. It was absolutely delicious home cooked meal. The breakfast was excellent too with strong coffee. And the WiFi was the best so far in Sri Lanka. It’s close to everything. Such a gem if you are on a budget or not.

My recent stay at Mount View Bungalow in Hatton was an absolutely delightful experience that truly exceeded expectations. Opting for the three-bedroom apartment proved to be an excellent choice, offering a haven of comfort, cleanliness, and breathtaking scenery. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer spaciousness of the apartment and the evident care taken in its maintenance. The living area was thoughtfully furnished, creating a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable sofas, a TV, and convenient WiFi access that made us feel right at home. Each of the three bedrooms was remarkably spacious, providing ample room to relax. The provision of fresh, clean towels, crisp bedsheets, and cozy blankets ensured a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were equally impressive, being immaculate and very well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of hygiene. For those who prefer to self-cater, the fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic amenity. It included a gas stove, refrigerator, rice cooker, heater jug, and a complete set of necessary utensils, making meal preparation a breeze. However, the true gems of Mount View Bungalow were the balconies attached to every room and the main hall. Stepping onto them revealed truly breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic mountains and lush tea plantations surrounding Hatton. These serene vistas provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and soaking in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Practicality was also well-considered, with ample and secure parking available within the gated premises, offering peace of mind for guests with vehicles. Furthermore, the location is incredibly convenient, with Hatton town just a pleasant 10-minute walk away, providing easy access to shops and local amenities. The hospitality we received from the host was exceptional.

The room is big, everything's is clean and the view are great. stuff are very friendly. location is close to bus and train station, there are many restaurant nearby so it's very convenient for us.

The family was super nice and even organized a sunrise trip to Adam's peak for us. We also had breakfast and dinner there, which was really delicious! And the room was very cozy with a nice view from the balcony.

Very new modern clean comfortable room. With lovely outlook onto colourful garden. Modern bathroom facilities, excellent hot water shower. Very tasty meals, lots of tropical fruit. The owner is a perfect host, very attentive, available and keen to please.

This place is truly wonderful. The house itself is beautifully designed and built. You can tell that a lot of care went into it, and everything feels high-quality and comfortable. The garden is incredibly peaceful, and the natural spring is just magical. The beds are super comfortable, and the rooms and the entire house are as clean as a 5-star hotel. There's a really nice atmosphere about the whole place. The location is great too. It's quiet and relaxing, but it's also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and downtown Hatton. Nana, the owner and host, is fantastic. He used to play on the Sri Lankan national football team, which makes for great stories. He's really welcoming and makes you feel at home, but he also knows when to give you space. The food he cooks is delicious, and he always gives generous portions. He's a really interesting and fun person to talk to. He's happy to help you with anything you need and really looks out for his guests. He's also a trained physical therapist, so he gave me a great massage. After a few days hiking the Pekoe Trail, it was exactly what I needed. If you're hiking Adam's Peak, he even packs a lunch for you. I don't usually write reviews like this, but I honestly can't recommend Ulpatha enough. The house itself is easily a 10, and Nana's hospitality makes it even better. I wish I could give it 20 stars! If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, you should definitely consider Ulpatha.
