South AfricaWe stumbled upon this little gem as a pitstop on our drive from Windhoek and Luderitz. Upon arriving at our destination all my wife and friend could talk about was the "little hotel in Aus". I immediately cancelled the remainder of our time in Luderitz and booked the Bahnhof hotel and it remains a highlight of our holiday. As a hotelier of 19 years, every bit of this stay exceeded my expectations. All the small touches, especially the surprising turndown with a hot water bottle and handmade chocolate, exceeded what I assumed would be modest services in a small town hotel. The peace and staff were what makes this place, but one cannot ignore the general good maintenance and cleanliness.

The location was great, staff supper friendly and the room was comfortable. The restaurant had a good selection and the food was fantastic. The breakfast was exceptional.

The staff, the staff, the staff!!! They were so friendly and helpful. 3/4 of us came down with food poisoning (from a different location) and the staff were so understanding. I tried to have dinner that evening, and decided to share a salad with my friend. The salad was split and beautifully arranged on two plates - at no extra cost. Later that evening, two staff members did the rounds with hot water bottles for our beds, which was most welcome. If the opportunity presents itself, we will be back.

The house was huge, kids loved the space. Very clean! Love the table on the stoep where you can have your coffee or breakfast while enjoying the view and sunrise in the quietness.

We were on prospecting tour this year and looking for new locations to visit Namibia with small groups.
This lodge is ideally located for those passing through. price/quality ideal.
rooms are basic but large and there is everything you need
the lodge is about a 20-minute drive from the wild horse viewing point.
Very nice, cosy bar. Nice food. Good breakfast.

Handy stopover on way to Luderitz.
