Peaceful, great view, yoga and meals were excellent, hosts make sure you have plans for the day and can take care of any transportation needed

We loved the pool with a view, the breakfast (I recommend the burrito), and the proximity to Playa Madera. Great value!

Breakfast was made fresh every day and was delicious, super friendly and helpful staff, awesome views, & comfy bed. Tim and his family were so lovely and made my stay super comfortable, providing tips for outings, contacts for rentals, and great recommendations overall. My first week stay I was traveling alone and always felt safe and secure.

This Place is incredible. The room are tastefully decorated, beds are super comfortable, the linens impeccable. Everything was very clean, the staff is super friendly. The yoga room on the top floor is insane with big windows overlooking the beach and the misty cloud forest. (My kids were able to run around and blow off some steam in the yoga space during a rainy afternoon - definitely something that we didn’t expect to have such a great impact). The food is definitely above average for a secluded place with fair prices, you can even preorder fresh fish the day before! There’s free water and a coffee station too. The pool includes a kids pool as well, which was great! The beach is reachable by foot and less than five minutes away. We had the beach for ourselves during week days. You can discover tropical birds, monkeys and frogs on the property as well, there even was a brochure explaining which animals you can spot - also something that was just a fun thing to do which we didn’t expect 😁 Definitely would recommend to stay here as a family when there are no retreats ongoing, 10 out of 10!

We booked with Hostal Villas Mexico because it was budget friendly and close to Maderas. At first we felt a little out of place because no one spoke a lick on English and there were no other English speaking travellers there either, but as we were exploring the place a couple of ladies who work there introduced them selves and took the time to show us around and patiently dealt with our bad Spanish as we tried to communicate how appreciative we were that they were showing us the beautiful land. Apart from the free breakfast and coffee they had already made us, they also made us the most delicious fried fish rice and chips for lunch, and invited us for dinner! They were so accommodating lovely and sweet! I sadly can’t remember all their names…. Maria, Janet? I think haha And…. Gosh I don’t remember but three main ladies seem to run the joint and they are awesome! We joked around, got hugs, and it ended up being a very lovely stay. Cabana #2 was sooo clean, had a mini fridge, air conditioning, super comfy bed, tv with cable with lots of movies you can swap to English, Clean ensuite that provided plenty of TP, clean towels soap and shampoo. We Felt super safe and secure, as there is security at the front gate, and again breakfast, coffee and packed lunch included (though we had ours there) it was great! Very quiet and chill and surrounded by lots of trees and plants and they are adding more diversity and plants all around, can’t wait to revisit in 10 years to see how it looks! Super super close to marsella and 5 minute Moto ride to Maderas.

The staff was super friendly and the manager was always available. Its was so serene, peaceful and quiet.. The team organzed daily events, like a beach picnic and bonfire, complete with roasted march mellows. Surf lessons were great in a beach perfect for beginners.. Overall vibe was chill and relaxed... just what i needed.

This is the best stay you will possibly find in Maderas. Victoria and Ben were absolutely incredible and the photos dont do justice to how nice the villas are. Could not recommend more highly!

This hostel is a hidden gem in paradise. As soon as I got here I felt immediately relaxed. You feel in touch with nature. The room is very cozy as well and not too hot at night. Also, it’s really close to playa maderas.

We loved our stay at Oleadas Maderas! It was just what we needed. The place was very clean, it had all the amenities we needed and had a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect place to escape for a few days and enjoy the beach. Marielle was excellent! She was quick to answer our questions and made us feel welcome.

The reception staff at the space made my stay here so special, it was my friend’s birthday and they were able to help me coordinate a surprise by ordering a cake with only a few hours notice ! We had such a special evening, it was so thoughtful and helpful thank you guys !!

The place was very clean. The outside space is done up quite nice. The AC functioned very well. Our host was very friendly as well.

It was easy to access the apartment, the host is kind and responsive, very helpful if we needed anything. We rented a scooter to make it easier to get around as it is a bit outside the restaurant area. However we much preferred the peace and quiet. Comfortable bed, AC. Hot shower. Very clean. Perfect place with lots of space and a beautiful pool and garden area.

Location, cleanliness, treatment.

Felix and Sayonara were great hosts and we had a fabulous discussion with them about everything San Juan Del Sur. Our time was relaxing and they went above and beyond by cooking breakfast, which was unexpected as it wasn't included in the stay. The location is great. It's a block from the beach and there's a Cafe on the corner close by. It is walking distance from the market and many other restaurants. The accommodations were perfect for what we needed. The bed was comfortable and there was 4 pillows on the bed, 2 per person, making it more to my liking. The attached bathroom is private and towels were provided. The place was clean and up to expectations in that regard. The common area is an open air second floor space that had rockers and a hammock to lounge in. I would stay here again.
