Relaxing country-side cabins in the hills of Retezat National Park. We used this as a base for hiking trips to the park and the location worked well. There is a well-equipped shared full kitchen. Cabins were clean and comfortable. There are a variety of activities available on site: hammocks, football, and badminton. It is a 5 minute walk to the local gastro-restaurant. The hosts were super friendly and helpful.

The house is close to the national park, 15 minutes by car, in a quite place with no risk of bothering neighbors with loud music. There are two "gastronomic points", at 15 -20 minutes walking, that offer home cooked food. Overall a very good location for the price.

This accommodation is just wonderful. I could not be more satisfied. The hotel has a mountain hut vibe, great atmosphere, made of wood, furnished accordingly. We liked it a lot. Great value for the price. It is a family run business, and they are very great hosts. Polite, helping, bringing us some homemade liquor to try out, speaking good English, etc. You can order for a very reasonable price dinner and breakfast as well, which is prepared by the family. Homemade taste, local ingredients, big portions. Wonderful. You have a big plate with all the goods for breakfast and a typical Romanian dish plus a dessert for dinner. The beds were comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The terrace has possibilities to just chill and relax. There was even a local dog and animals around adding to the vibe. A fireplace outside, also a small playground for the children. Set in nature, close for hikes in Retezat. For sure, I would love to come back. Thanks for everything.

The house is clean and cosy, with two bedrooms, one kitchen and one spacious shared bathroom. You can find all you need, if not, you can ask the owner for anything and she will be glad to help you.

The hosts treated us like family, with exceptional warmth and generosity with their time, property, and even special requests. These are people you'd want to be friends with. The location has a splendid garden with hammocks, lighting at night in a bridge over the creek. It has convenient parking and is a 2 minute walk to a small, centuries old castle! The neighborhood is quiet except for charming cows with bells meandering on the road twice a day. They are always improving the property, so by the time you go it will have even more amenities and comforts. You are going to love it!

Casa Roben was above our expectations in every way. The rooms were spotless, the restaurant had something for everyone at a fair price, and the breakfast had many good options. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We highly recommend this place!

The village, the rooms, the courtyard

This is a beautiful and well set up guesthouse in a quiet, traditional village. The house was spotless and the family very accommodating and friendly. A gated yard for parking and nice outdoor spaces were a plus. It's just like the photos. I highly recommend it!
