A real taste of traditional Romanian living! The home was ideally located at the start of our trek along the Via Transilvanica. Although traditional, it had everything we really needed – a small stove for cooking and a clean bathroom. The host was super kind, even bringing us fresh bread on arrival. The garden around the home was lovely – you can see real time and effort has been put into both the garden and the house. Highly recommended if you're staying in Putna!

I love Vicky. She is a sweet, kind, generous host. My train arrived late at night(left Bucharest in the 11:10 train to Putna). She came to pick me up at around 10 pm! That was very kind! My room was beautiful, had hot water and the bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was abundant and delicious! Today She drove me into town to start my Via Transilvanica walk from my official starting point. I hope to come back again and stay longer in such a lovely place!

We loved everything about Poiana de Vis. Sorin and his wife greeted us like family, making us feel at home immediately. We are walking the Via Transilvanica and Sorin offered to pick us up at the monastery when we arrived. We declined, but later accepted his offer to take us back to the monastery to explore. The room was super cozy and comfortable, and the setting is fabulous. Having Tochitruck (a cool food truck concept run by Julien, the son) so close by made getting a fabulous dinner and breakfast easy.
