Cheap hotels in Guanshan

Outstanding breakfast, both in presentation and quality! Has bicycles we used for a beautiful ride around the area. Quiet, modern and clean; very friendly host family. Highly recommend ITSF B&B!

The property is surrounded by rice fields and feels pleasantly removed from busy tourist areas. At the same time, it serves as a convenient gateway to a wild and beautiful part of eastern Taiwan, an area with natural hot springs and access toward mountain regions and nature areas such as Yushan National Park and Alishan National Scenic Area. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed warmly by the owner. The first thing she did was invite us to sit at the table on the ground floor and serve us special local tea together with sweets and snacks we had never tried before. Everything felt local and authentic. She spoke only Chinese and we do not speak Chinese, but with a combination of pantomime and Google Translate, communication worked surprisingly well. Our room was on the upper floor and included a large balcony overlooking the rice fields. The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with effective air conditioning and a large comfortable bed. The bathroom layout was practical, with the toilet separated from the bathing area, which included both a bathtub and a shower. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fixed and local in style. To our delight, most of it was vegetarian and very tasty. There is private parking right next to the property, although honestly parking is not really an issue in this area. And finally, the price. Considering the location, the hospitality, and the quality of the room, the value for money was vert high. A peaceful and authentic place to stay if you want to experience a quieter and less touristy side of Taiwan.

The owner was super helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was strong with good warm water.

The hosts were very hospitable and gracious. They accommodated a change in my original plans and were very welcoming and friendly. The room and common areas of the homestay were spacious, inviting, and very clean. The house was surrounded by a pleasant garden, and there were bicycles available for guests.

Amazing staff, super friendly and attentive. The beds are great and comfortable, my room was very large and the balcony even had a mountain view.

The room and bathroom were big and clean. The place is cheap and had good value for money. If you want to go in a bigger group and stay away from the city rush but also want to stay close to almost everything, it is a good place

I have stayed here multiple times over the past few years. I keep coming back for a few reasons: - Within walking distance of town, and thus easy access to the supermarket and train station. - The provided bicycles are very useful and the hotel has easy access to Guanshan's biking trails. - Polite and professional staff
