Cheap hotels in Wenquan

We enjoyed the spa jets in the larger hot pool; and the views were very nice from the pools. There's free parking on-site and breakfast was included in the nightly rate.

A ten minute walk to Jhihben Forest area. The hilltop hot spring is really why you want to stay here. A great view while you soak in the water. The couple that runs the place are really nice, the wife even speaks a decent amount of English, enough for basic communication. They made a warm bean drink every morning as part of the breakfast. They mixed it with coffee and called it a “Taiwan cappuccino”. It’s worth a try.

Very kind and communicative manager! The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. Loved having a huge private tub in the bathroom with hot spring water for a soak. Great location near the bus stop, and easy to get to hikes :)

Staff are nice and approachable

Everything. Decor was modern, sparse, semi-industrial. Far nicer than the tacky, gaudy decorations in most Taiwanese BnBs. Female host was very nice and is able to communicate in English. Room had good insulation (a rarity in Taiwan) and stayed warm on a fairly cool night. The bed was not too firm and not too soft. The bed had ergonomic pillows (not memory foam, but still better than the huge, hard pillows most BnBs in Taiwan use). Breakfast was amazing and artfully prepared. Local coffee, too! Both hosts take their jobs seriously, have a great aesthetic sense, and you can tell that they value providing a quality experience more than just making money. I don't know if I'll ever be by that way again, but if I am, I'll be staying here.
