Its in the part of town for locals, so just downstairs there is a fantastic unexpensive grill restaurant, and very close great bar with beers and real local foods priced for locals not tourists. I really liked the area.

Property was very clean, in great location (just 2-3m walk from main part of the city and all great restaurants) and amazing staff. Breakfast was plain and simple but great, always some fresh fruit, yogurt and some eggs with sandwich freshly prepared by the lady. Carmen who runs the hotel also helped us organize all other trips, there were some small ‘hiccups’ but she managed to resolve everything.

I really enjoyed the stay thanks to Nely's great hospitality to take care of the guests in all aspects. The open, common kitchen in the patio is nice, where Nely makes coffee, tea, salt, oil, etc as well as fruits from her own fields available for the guests. It is in a quiet, safe area. It takes about 20 minutes to the centro, which was not a problem for me. It is also possible to take a bike from the hotel to go around the town or take a bike tour in the nearby places.

La Mirada del Solitario George is located in Puerto Ayora, just 4 minutes’ drive from Charles Darwin Station and next to Cazares School.

Wonderful place to stay and we were made to feel incredibly welcome by our great hosts who were really helpful with great information about the island and tours etc!! An easy 5 minute stroll on to the main street and an abundance of great choices to eat, drink and arrange tours. Room was spotlessly clean and the facilities and ambience were superb. How often do you get to stay in a castle on the Galapagos!? Highly recommended!!
