The Hideaway is in an amazing location in the middle of the jungle. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the balcony looking at the birds and wildlife. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing, with lots of ingredients picked fresh from their garden. The pool is a treat as well.

For those seeking a unique experience, you can even sleep outdoors on the comfortable mattresses provided on the terrace—a rare opportunity that’s not possible in the UK. There are no mosquitoes, and the weather is really comfortable. Warm but not too hot or cold. In addition to these remarkable qualities, our stay was enriched by numerous activities suitable for our children. Jagath, known for his hard work, friendliness, and generosity, guided us on a jungle hike to a hilltop temple. We explored a nearby village untouched by tourist influence, took part daily in the preparation of Sri Lankan dishes and breakfast, and even tried our hand at making roti. This immersive experience allowed us to gain profound insights into Sri Lankan culture, traditions, and cuisine, all within an eco-friendly and sustainable paradise. We went there to enjoy our vacation, and the room was incredibly spacious with very comfortable beds. The location was brilliant for relaxation. The staff, especially Nalin, took great care of us, providing everything we needed for a nice stay. The manager, Nuwan, was also fantastic, ensuring our complete satisfaction. What an amazing place to recharge and spend a few days surrounded by nature and lovely people. The garden is quite a sight you'd never see elsewhere else, so many plants, flowers and birds all around you. The food also deservers a special mention, all locally sources and cooked with passion.
