Pia homestay seems to be run by a friendly couple. Our 2D1N stay was wonderful and we absolutely enjoyed the room esply and the help we received. Upon arrival, our key card was neatly readied for us for collection. Our room on the 3rd floor was roomy, clean, cozy and comfortable. Bathroom is spotless and beautiful w emerald tiles. Both were without any odour and very well maintained, like new. The room is equipped with both a fan and air conditioning. The decor was mainly of a rustic theme with lots wood and homey vibes, which we absolutely adore. This place reminds you of a v welcoming warm home with plants and cute props, and an air well. Kitchen on ground floor is well equipped w 2 fridges, water dispenser, tableware and coffee and tea. There's an adorable patio right in front for coffee and for waiting one's ride. During our stay, a small hiccup occured which the owners dealt swiftly, effectively and with the best positive attitude. We were extremely grateful for that and had no qualms about it. After all, this is a small homestay run by a couple in a very remote town. ☺️ Pia homestay is located right smack in town, and within walking distances to eateries in the morning and at night. It's also a good distance to walk to experience the local life and the very cool Kim Dong Walking street with lots of community activities esply for the kids. Prior to our stay, our correspondences via WhatsApp were always prompt, helpful and friendly despite the time difference and hours, which we appreciate v much. The owner helped us with the reservation of transportation to and from Hanoi, which saved us a lot of trouble of potential challenging communication w the drivers as well as provided us with lots of convenience. Pia Homestay completed our lovely trip in Cao Bang. Will be more than happy to return and recommend. Thank you and all the best 🩷

This was my favorite stay from my entire vietnam trip. The host family was lovely, the dinner I had with them was great (I'm vegan and got some delicious tofu, greens and bamboo), and the location is just indescribable. The mattress is a typical vietnamese hard mattress, so be ready for that, but the pillows and blanket were comfy. Quite rustic, but personally I loved it.

I reserved 5 rooms for one night. The following day we decided to stay another night. As there was a wedding party we needed to change rooms but the whole experience was excellent. The staff helped us move and were very accommodating. They were very responsive on every small request we had. On the second I had a fall and on the morning of the checkout I needed to go for an x-ray. The staff jumped right away to help. Called a friend to drive me the the hospital. One of the staff, Hai, jumped into the car with me and was with me in the hospital. He did everything for me - registration, payment, taking me to the doctor's office (whom turned out to be his good friend) and arranged me to get back to the hospital. I offered him a tip that he didn't accept. And when we were already on our way he inquired how I was doing. Kudos to the staff, especially Hai! In addition to this the hotel felt modern, was clean and excellent value.
