What can I say? Dumi's shelter is exemplary! This is truly a slice of paradise, with a green and beautifully maintained walled and private garden to look out onto from the broad tiled verandah. The room itself is five star, with a gorgeous bathroom and ample hot water. Dumi obligingly organised to do a load of washing for me (even though it was 8.30pm), which was delivered back to my room and was easily dry by morning. Though there is no breakfast, tea and coffee are supplied. There's a bar fridge, and you can order in. Down the road is a restaurant or bakery for breakfast. The room has a private eating area and utensils. Nothing was too much trouble. A stone's throw from a busy road, but quiet, private and totally secure. And all that at an incredibly reasonable rate!

Arriving in Colombo first thing in the morning, we were super jet lagged and weren’t able to check in. But, the staff were extremely helpful… they allowed us to use the pool, made us coffee and cleaned the room immediately after the previous guests checked out so that we could get in our room. The place has a lovely feel about it, the rooms were so clean and spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable! It is in a great location, very central, but felt quite hidden away. It also has an Italian restaurant attached to it- it was very lively and seemed really nice, although we didn’t eat there. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff were very helpful & welcoming. The bungalow is beautiful & well equipped. The bedrooms & bathrooms are spacious and well designed.
