A beautiful spacious villa surrounded by nature: it is near a spectacular lake and rice fields. It is within a walking distance from Sigiriya and Pidurangala: we went there by foot. Our room was really large, fresh and clean equipped with air conditioning. It has a big bathroom with hot water and toiletries. The pool is big and clean, we used it every day. There are sun loungers as well. The house also has a playground with chess, table tennis and badminton. The breakfast was enormous 😀 and really tasty with fresh fruits and local goodies. They also served something new every day. Special thanks to the hosts Kasun and Pathum, they really made our stay there enjoyable. They helped us organize an elephant safari and a transfer to another city, advised on non-tourist attractions, and even delivered food from nearby restaurants free of charge. I would definitely recommend staying in Bungalow Resort for a pleasant vacation

Wonderful historical small hotel from 1860s staffed with wonderful friendly staff. Beautiful garden with pool and views. Excellent food. We loved our large room with high ceilings w/ceiling fan (no A/C - but cool with windows open and mosquito net). Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights as the hiking in area was wonderful.

Perfect and would recommend. The pool was lovely and clean and so refreshing after a long day. We left early for Lion Rock and came back for a quick swim before checking out - worked perfectly.

This 1930s bungalow is sprawled across 98 acres of a tea plantation, at the foot of the Knuckles Mountain Range.

The Ashburnham Estate is quiet and peaceful with fresh air and comfortable accommodation. We loved how unique it is, and the history is also interesting. We stayed 6 nights and were sad to leave. The staff made us feel very welcome from the instant we arrived. We loved the private waterfall and lovely swimming pool with stunning views. I know I will dream of this place for years to come. They even made me a special cake for my birthday. The chef there is very talented and I’m already missing their cooked breakfasts and 3 course candlelit dinners on the terrace. Very good afternoon tea made from their own blend too. Mostly we will miss Vish and his helpful kind care. Nothing was too much trouble. I hope to one day be fortunate enough to go back.

Our stay at Habarana Village by Cinnamon was fantastic! The rooms were beautiful, the staff were exceptionally helpful and we had a great time at the facilities! The pool, spa and walking down the river were my highlights. I highly recommend Habarana Village by Cinnamon if you're looking for a retreat from the busy city. It was a wonderful experience overall and it was great to experience the village life.
