Stay here if you are going to climb Ijen. It's close to where you start hiking and lots of local places to buy food and supplies that might have been forgotten. The hosts are lovely and our room was rustic and part of the experience that we were dreaming of

such a lovely place! Great money for value, 4-star hotel facilities (coffee/tea, water bottles, tooth brushes?!) for this price really unbeatable!! It was very clean, communication with host was perfect. The bath tub was such a nice accessory, loved the spacious terrace with view to the forest. We would sit there for hours and talk while enjoying the peaceful environment. Very lovely and sweet host. The cabins are located behind the owners house and it gives such an authentic experience. Definitely coming back!

Sleeping in my glass walls little hut, waking up to the cloud line and going to sleep under a sky full of stars. It is more than amazing if your looking to breath mountain peaks and being surrounded by epic nature! Shower is cold but it is definitely part if the atmosphere and if you’re taking the shower before it is dark then it’s not bad at all and even wild and enjoyable! Ketut and his wife are lovely hosts make yoy feel like home.

Our stay at Ranggon D’tukad was an absolute highlight of our several weeks in Bali thus far! The villa is private and along a beautiful rice field and river/stream. The warung they run has incredible (and affordable) traditional balinese food. Ketut is, and has been, deeply involved in the local community and is an amazing resource to learning the area. Rest and respite are truly found here in this incredibly serene stay!
