Campgrounds in Riotorto

Cristine at Ventro Etruscan and her husband are amazingly wonderful people. Or stay at Ventro Estrusco was not planned. It was an emergency stay as we were stranded in Campiglia due to numerous train issues on our day of travel. Our planned destination was Elba Island for the night but we never made it. When we arrived in Campiglia I called Cristine for help getting a taxi to there location from the train station. I had tried booking a taxi online, via telephone, and with a taxi driver in person. Turns out he was only taxi driver in the city and would not take our fare. She contacted a friend who was also a taxi driver but they were not int the area. Cristine and her husband did not want us (myself and my daughter) stranded overnight alone at a train station. They actually came and got us at 23:00 and drive us to there glamping campground. The glamping tent was meticulously neat and clean. Cristina made sure at midnight that we had everything we would need including enough blankets to stay warm. Then they offered to make us breakfast and drive us to Piombino in the morning to catch our ferry for Elba. The care we received from Cristine and her husband goes far above the call of duty. I know I am only discussing my interactions with the owners of this fine establishment, but any two people who are this kind, generous, and helpful deserve strong consideration for your next glamping trip. Like I said the camping tents and farm are excellent and the owners are even better. I am indebted to these fine owners and cannot begin to say enough positive about our short experience with them. The place is perfect for families with children that want to enjoy both the beach and the swimming pool. The swimming pools are big and very clean The restaurant has a good menu and the food is tasty. There is also a bar for drinks, ice cream etc. The bungalow is comfortable and well equipped.

I really loved all of the amenities, especially the washing machines, pool, and bar.

It was much better than expected here. I thought I would get 2 rooms but I got a whole house with a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom,and 3 beds and close to the sea has everything in it such as There's a playground, there's a bar, there's a restaurant, there's a mall, it's really awesome.

The tent was exactly as described and as in the photos. My first time glamping, so I had a learning experience. Thus still the five stars and high recommendation and rating. It is me that needed to make adjustments. Something I never thought of is that the tent has no windows, nor no screens upon it. Thus no ventilation or circulation of fresh air. If the tent doors are not pulled tight and zipped together at night, then with the light on, all the bugs are attracted inside. Including mosquitoes! Further to this, the laundry detergent that was utilized had such a strong fragrance, that I could not even sleep inside The tent. I believe it was either an air freshener or the laundry detergent that had been used on the duvet and blankets. I had to go out on the deck and sleep, still using one of the overly artificially fragrant duvet covers, but it was much better as Inside the tent it somehow seemed saturated with this artificial scent. I do not consider myself an extra sensitive person, and I do have awareness of artificial fragrances and their effect of being hormone disrupting to the hormone system of humans. This was probably the strongest I have experienced ever. Perhaps it was because it was such a small space. Again, fabulous staff, wonderful location decent value for money in that area, super clean, including the restrooms which for just a 30 second walk from the tent. Five out of five stars in general, and if anyone can gain value from my personal comments, great. I would not stay there again simply because of the laundry detergent or air freshener that they use inside the tent.

Impeccably run campsite on beach in remote, non-touristy area. We admired the design of our 5 person lodge tent, with 2 BR and BA, full kitchen and deck. Great private restaurant on grounds and a store, very quiet, friendly. The area seemed safe since no one locked up their bikes except electric bikes. Good compact design of site, not too far to walk to the beach.
