Campgrounds in Ḩawīyah

Loved our stay in the desert camp! We were upgraded, the tent was clean and well-equipped, and the food and service were excellent. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the owner was wonderful and assisted with everything (I even forgot my cap, and the owner kindly drove all the way to the highway so I could get it back. Truly amazing service!) Highly recommended!

Safe and sound for familes and for solo travelers aswell

Our stay at Moon Light Camp was wonderful. Easy communication with the hosts who are very accommodating. The triangle shaped bungalow is a nice distance from the other tents, giving you privacy and a great view. The room has everything you need, and the hot tub worked (although it does run out of hot water before being full, but this is understandable for the desert). Easy to organize a transfer from Bidiyah and to reserve activities at the camp (sand boarding, quad bike, camel ride, dune bashing…). The breakfast and dinner were also delicious, with good variety.

If you are looking for a true desert experience, this is the perfect place! The hospital is outstanding 10/10, the food is delicious ( camel meat), everything is spotlessly clean, and the need are very comfortable.

Great stay in the middle of the desert! The camp is private and secluded so the experience is very intimate (only 2 tents in total). The host cooked excellent dinner and breakfast and was very friendly and attentive.

Everything amazing, stunning view , the location is fabulous

We had a great night in the desert. We enjoyed talking with the hosts, both to learn about Oman but also to share personal stories. They were friendly and helpful. When we arrived, there were snacks and coffee. After dinner we were served tea, and there was coffee and milk tea for breakfast. The dinner itself was delicious and plentiful. They arranged a camel ride and we did some sand boarding, although only the steepest parts of the dunes were suitable. The tents, bed, and private bathroom were very comfortable and clean. The dunes around offered s perfect setting for a sunset walk. Would definitely recommend.
