Cabins in Bad Aussee

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this beautiful property near Hallstatt. The views from our balcony were incredible — mountains, pastures, and the Alps — the perfect setting to enjoy morning coffee. The location was ideal: just 10–15 minutes from the nearby lakes and about 20 minutes to Hallstatt, making it easy to explore the whole area. The chalet was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we even cooked dinner one evening. The host was warm and welcoming, greeting us with a bottle of wine and some olive oil — such a thoughtful gesture. It quiet at night and perfect for stargazing! Lots of biking and walking trails around as well. We truly loved our stay and would happily return!

Beautiful well equipped property and wonderful host

The location of MONDI in Grundlsee is very convenient - we took a day trip to Hallstatt which was just 30 minutes drive, and another day we drove the panoramic route to Loser Altaussee. The MONDI resort staff were very welcoming and friendly - my husband and I are American and English speaking and the staff was always quick to accommodate with a smile. We enjoyed the spa / wellness area each day during our stay - while the steam bath was out of service, we still were able to use the 3 other saunas and the pool. The food was exceptional as well - from breakfast to dinner, we left satisfied and pleased with each meal. They offer a seasonal venison menu and we loved trying new things we don't normally get to eat! The chalets themselves are so charming - our studio had a mini kitchen, supplied with utensils, dishes, and cookware, and a good size refrigerator. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome, too! Can't say enough great things about our stay.
