Tanawatu Hill was by far the most wonderful positive surprise of our months-long trip. The bungalow was beautifully designed and decorated, with an exceptional sense of taste and comfort. Far away from any noise, it’s the perfect place to relax for a few days. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent. Overall, it was an extremely beautiful and memorable experience — absolutely recommendable.

Walking distance to Bena, Luba and even the hot springs. Ican (pronounced ee- shan), the onsite manager, is really nice and also a good cook, and can make you meals in addition to the included breakfast. I worried at first that there was no AC or fan, but the coolness of elevation was enough. The sheets were crisp and dry, a miracle in the rain! The area is a Garden of Eden of edible plants - coffee, cacao, avocados, rambutan, etc and also nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
