This family run place with cosy rooms is located within walking distance from the entrance to Sinharaja National Park. It offers an infinity pool with awesome views, some really sweet and playful dogs, and just in general a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the middle of the jungle. The family offers the following: - The cool Son brings you cold beer, helps and organises cheap local transport and is an amazing guide who helps you spot rainforest life (and get good photos of it), plus make sure you make it home in one piece. - The sweet Mom cooks some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka. Asking for the spicy option is highly recommended. - The kind Dad takes care of the place and kills any giant spider that may enter your room with a broomstick. Prices are reasonable and upfront in a remote paradise.

The host was helpful though not good with English. The room felt big. There are no restaurants or shops in the area so they organized us dinner.

Absolutely an amazing place to stay and an unforgettable experience in the forest. The manager Lakshan made all the effort to make sure the journey was smooth, and you feel very much welcomed by the staff. Great ambiance, nice restaurant and amazing location. we had a day trip in the forest guided by Dumindu, who was so kind and knowledgeable. All was amazing.

Wonderful location in the midst of the rainforest. Food was fresh and tasty. The lovely host Karina is very accommodating and can organise anything for you from transportation to tours. The river freshwater pool is very refreshing after a hike or trek in the forest.

What a unique experience. I stayed in the Family Room with Garden View and I felt completely immersed in the rainforest there. It was raining when I was there and it felt really cozy. The host, Ravindra, was kind, welcoming and very helpful. He organized for an amazing female guide for me in Sinharaja, as well as transport there and to my next destination. His mother cooked delicious dinners and breakfasts, and even a packed lunch for my day trip. The pool was a great bonus - I had a much-needed fresh dip following my hike.

Excepional hospitality, personal service and divine location

The lady that hosted us was really friendly and had a very nice conversation with us. She offered advice on local hikes and even gave us small gifts upon departure. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of flora and you can constantly hear the calming sound of the river.

Everything was fabulous the breakfast was super delicious and the view of the room was stunning.

Location and hospitality of the workers is beyond exceptional. You cannot beat the views, and waking up to the beautiful jungle and forest right from your bedroom, or the dreamy fireflies at night from the balcony. Their home kitchen menu is superb, made fresh to order, and super tasty. We had delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all tasty and satisfying. The owners also connected us with a great hiking guide in the Sinharaja forest who pointed out rare species, took us to waterfalls, and even prepped us so we would not get leeches on our shoes. This location is absolutely the best and we would come back again! 100% recommend to anyone considering visiting the Sinharaja forest. They are family owned, and extremely kind people.
