The stay gave us an out-of-this-world experience. The Loft blended in exceptionally well with the stunning beauty of Embogama. This experience was a much-needed detox for our minds as the peaceful environment made us forget the stresses of city living. The meals were so tastefully prepared, and the experiences gathered from going around the village will definitely make us revisit the Loft again and again!

I recently stayed at this lodge and had a truly wonderful experience. They offered both Sri Lankan and English food, and I must say, the taste and quality were absolutely excellent. Every meal felt carefully prepared and full of flavor. The hospitality was warm and genuine. @Mangala was very friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel was safe and peaceful, which made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who enjoys a calm and quiet environment, with great service and delicious food in Kurunegala area. Would definitely come back! Silver Hill is a truly enchanting destination that we wholeheartedly recommend to nature-loving travelers seeking a blend of comfort, culture, and exceptional Sri Lankan hospitality. Originally, we booked for just one night, but we were so captivated that we extended our stay to 3 days. We were charmed by the simple yet spacious and immaculate cottages. For those seeking a unique experience, you can even sleep outdoors on the comfortable mattresses provided on the terrace—a rare opportunity that’s not possible in the UK. There are no mosquitoes, and the weather is really comfortable. Warm but not too hot or cold. In addition to these remarkable qualities, our stay was enriched by numerous activities suitable for our children. Jagath, known for his hard work, friendliness, and generosity, guided us on a jungle hike to a hilltop temple. We explored a nearby village untouched by tourist influence, took part daily in the preparation of Sri Lankan dishes and breakfast, and even tried our hand at making roti. This immersive experience allowed us to gain profound insights into Sri Lankan culture, traditions, and cuisine, all within an eco-friendly and sustainable paradise. Silver Hill is a true gem for those seeking an authentic and enriching travel experience. Try the rice with a filling inside. A unique food I’ve ever seen anywhere else. The hotel was excellent! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the service was truly wonderful. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the stay very enjoyable.

They are just the best! The hosts are super professional and extremely caring and hospitable! It felt like being with my family, whatever you need they take good care of their guests; if you need guidance, recommendation or transportation, just ask and they are here for it. I enjoyed my stay, loved the people their and I will definitely be back. BTW they have other hostels in Sri Lanka, ask about them.
