Wonderful small hotel/guesthouse on a remote beach in Nosy Be. Transport from the airport involved both car and boat. We were a group of three, with my spouse, myself, and my 20 year old daughter. Our room and the grounds were absolutely beautiful, with traditional thatch roofs on many of the structures, and both covered and uncovered outdoor common spaces to have meals and relax by the ocean. There was a local band of lemurs. There was a beautiful stretch of pebbly beach with the huge tide shifts common in the area and amazing sunrise views. We ate all meals at the hotel, which featured local ingredients and seafood. The young chef checked in on diet preferences. We arranged all activities directly with Jean Michel, including a boat transport and guided walk in the Lokobe Nature Reserve (where we saw several different types of lemurs, chameleons and frogs, and a boa!), and a boat trip to Nosy Tanikely to snorkel a beautiful, living reef and walk up to the lighthouse on the top of the island.

Each morning I would slowly open the wooden doors of my cabin to the sun reaching out across the ocean toward me. It is paradise. At all times you feel connected to your environment, the structure of the properties brings the outside in in such an elegant way. The massage above the rocky shore was blissful, the staff were delightful.

Located in Nosy Be, a few steps from Djamanjary Beach, Anki Lodge has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area.

We spent 19 nights travelling around Madagascar and Anki Lodge was hands-down our favourite place. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and always smiling – they really made us feel at home. But the absolute highlight was the food: honestly the best meals we had during the entire trip! Fresh, delicious, and full of flavour every single day. The lodge itself is set in a beautiful, peaceful environment with a lovely garden and a great swimming pool – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Special mention to the owner who is wonderful: warm, attentive and clearly passionate about making every guest’s stay special. If you’re visiting Nosy Be (or anywhere nearby), don’t think twice – stay at Anki Lodge. We can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice, although I would have appreciated an option of having some eggs instead of bread. The rooms were spacious and a bit different.

From the moment I arrived at Les Chalets de Melinda, Captain and Tata welcomed me with genuine warmth and kindness. Their hospitality is truly unparalleled. Despite my limited French, Tata went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and ease, even providing me with a list of item costs and a converter for my plug. Captain, with his charismatic demeanor, is the epitome of a cool host. Together, they form a dynamic duo, embodying the true essence of kindness and sincerity.   The chalets are nestled in a serene location, offering tranquility while being conveniently close to everything one might need. The facilities are well-equipped, and I honestly didn't find myself missing a TV at all during my stay. Cleanliness is evidently a top priority here, as every corner of the chalet was spotless.   If you're looking for outstanding value for your money, Les Chalets de Melinda is the place to be. It's not just a hotel stay, but an experience, thanks to Captain and Tata. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine and memorable experience.
