Beautiful cabanas (wooden houses) on a private property with a lake, and a big garden. Only few minutes walking distance from the city centre. Everything was super clean. The attention from the whole family was perfect. They were friendly and warm. They offered us an amazing tours to enjoy the breathtaking nature of Amazonas. We loved it so much that we plan to come back again with our friends and family.

It's an amazing community set in beautiful nature with an experience of how modernization goes along with the local communities. Gustavo received me with much excitement and showed me around places, took me on a hike in the jungle, taught me many things and his hospitality is just 10/10! This place is not for every tourist, but for travelers seeking an authentic experience of the Amazonas and it's people over comfort in one of the most amazing and beautiful natural setting. Some tips to make your experience better - 1. Bring your own water. Resources are hard to get to the community and it's good to respect that. 2. Be ready to adjust around a few things depending on the situation - eg: no electricity at night, makeshift showers etc. Treat the whole stay as an experience rather than a stay and these things become secondary. 3. If you just sit by the river for a while (with your repellent on of course) - you'll see a lot of dolphins! 4. As with any other nature place, always check your shoes, bed, toilet seat etc before using :) 5. Ask Gustavo for your own custom tours and experiences around and he'll happily make it happen at a great price, with his more than 15 years of experience as a guide!

First of all, the community where the place is located is super safe—just like a typical village with chickens freely wondering around. I stopped locking my door the day after I arrived, once I realized how calm and peaceful it was. As a solo female traveler I value safety very much. Satori is located closer/deeper to the jungle so it is even calmer, and you can start your hike right at the gate. Sometimes monkeys would come to the site and I could watch them while having my breakfast/lunch. Secondly, I was amazed by the owner, a true animal lover and sustainability enthusiast. They handled everything themselves—gardening, improving the land, and preparing delicious breakfasts. Communication was easy. From the moment I made the booking, they provided a ton of useful information—like the boat schedule and more. I asked, and they arranged boat tickets and guided tours for me. Keep in mind, I don’t speak any Spanish! By the end of my stay, it felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend. Amazing people. The cabin was clean, equipped with a comfortable bed and mosquito net, fan, shelves and electrical outlets. When I wasn't hiking or touring, I enjoyed relaxing in my hammock outside the cabin. They also have decent Wi-Fi. There was a road construction down the road (village part), so I needed to detour (around 5 min walk). It should be gone in a month or so.

I loved this rustic camp in the rainforest, a modest but lovingly built family eco-tourism venture run by Jhon and his family. If you are looking for a truly off-grid experience, this is it. There is no electricity, and at night the candles flickering in open-air cooking and dining space, something like a traditional Maloka, are absolutely magical. Jhon's mother prepared me simple delicious food and freshly ground 100% cacao produced on the property, an overgrown cacao plantation. This place is completely surrounded by the sounds of the forest: it's about a 45 minute walk from the tiny village of Mocagua, including a short river crossing of the Quebrada Matamatá by dugout canoe. It can be muddy; the family provided me with rubber boots to use while I was there. A great place to completely unplug.

Everything was perfect! Pilar was an exceptional host and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. She was incredibly friendly and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Filtered water was always available, which we really appreciated. The house was cleaned daily and maintained to a very high standard. I truly can’t emphasize this enough: Pilar is the kind of host you hope for when booking a stay. She was always available, happy to answer any questions, and genuinely cared about making our experience the best it could be. She also has the sweetest dogs. We miss Kiara already…

Beautiful location. Very isolated. Zip lines are cool and guides are great but it’s not for the less adventurous of your party.

This place is a beautiful but rustic spot next to the Amazon river. The food was very good, usually fish from the river. At night the jungle birds and frogs sing you to sleep. It’s not a place for the squeamish, we had a tarantula on our ceiling, but the mosquito nets work well and you really get a chance to be surrounded by the Amazon rain forest. The tours they offer are very reasonably priced, but there are also plenty of places to just hang out and enjoy the nature. The common areas were very social and we had some great conversations with the other guests. Also, the staff was especially welcoming and made us feel at home right away. It was really cool to be able to talk to people who live in the Amazon and hear a little bit about daily life here. Overall, this was a huge highlight for us.

We absolutely loved the location of the lodge! It was right on the Amazon river and the ferry dropped us off directly in front so incredibly convenient while still feeling completely remote. The ability to customize the activities based on what we were interested in was a huge bonus and each day trip was completely a private tour which was amazing. The local guides were absolutely incredible with the best energy and helped us see every animal on our bucket list and completely in the wild. The nights hikes were absolutely exciting we especially recommend the intensive one in the Zaragoza virgin jungle which was quite intense but absolutely amazing! The food of Doña Marta was a highlight of the trip as well. Communication with the lodge (Martin and Gaby) made everything easy for us. Any questions we had were immediately solved before and during the trip. Chunaki Lodge gave us the trip of a lifetime and we couldn’t recommend them more!

What a wonderful stay at Cabañas Delhi! I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived, including the offer of breakfast at the property. The cabin is a short walk from town and so is lovely and peaceful. I so enjoyed reading my book in the hammock and watching the birds that came past. Would definitely recommend going to see the sloths and doing some bird watching while you are here.
