The lodge is set in a breathtaking location on the beachfront amongst the mangroves. Every detail of the place is well taken care of and well thought. The design of the rooms and bungalows is wonderful, and the rooms are aired by the beachfront breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - we can commend all of them and in particular manager Rufus, cook George, Sami, Asthman and Aisha. They made sure we had the best stay. We loved the food - the breakfasts are amazing - and would recommend asking George to cook a seafood platter with fresh fish caught on the day. We also much enjoyed kayaking at sunset amongst the mangroves and relaxing with a drink by the pool.

The venue is very lovely and quaint. Feels very cozy and homely with artistic decor. Offers great privacy while still giving professional standards. The customer service was exceptional; the staff especially Simon went over and above in making our stay special and addressing our particular and exceptional requests. The chef and Saidi also did a great job accommodating one of our party who was vegan. Every interaction was met with warmth and kindness; this made us want to extend our stay. We definitely will be returning. Also liked Bear, the dog :-)

The location was super: wery close to ocean, a little bit far from Watamu so it was quiet and private. The beautiful Garoda beach was 2km walking distance. There were kind and friendly community. They help me with everything I needed. It was supernice to have tasty meals together with them. You can see a Milkyway in the sky and monkeys in the morning playing on the roof. This is haven for naturelovers.

Charming is an apt name for this beautiful hidden away gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, really working hard to ensure our stay was a dream romantic romp. David has built this lodge over the past 14 months, its really quite amazing. It's a quiet area, very few mosquitoes, perfect for resting between safaris. The garden of traditional crops throughout the grounds is interesting. The ecotone is perfect for birding. David is very knowledgeable and kind. He will organize game drives and pick you up from Voi train station. We plan to return in a few months.
