I loved every detail of the hotel. A super cozy room, in a convenient distance from the tram and metro station. It's got lovely staff and It was really like they thought and put together every detail to make it perfect. The moment you enter the hotel a very pleasant fragrance welcomes you and this was a very good first impression for us. The room was spotless and a great breakfast with delicious options were available on the buffet.

The purpose of our visit was to see the (world famous)...

The purpose of our visit was to see the (world famous) Hallerbos bluebell woods. However, it's difficult to judge when exactly is the best time to go as the bluebells might flower early or late. The site itself was not spectacular with not the purple sea of bluebells expected. Perhaps it was not exactly the right time, and so not worth the 2-hour drive to get there. The Huizingen park nearby is pretty and has an excellent restaurant. The entry fee is 4€ per person but the leaflet and map handed over was in Flemish only. Presumably they want tourism, but nothing at all was translated into French or English or any other language. It was very difficult to find a café or a tearoom in the whole area. We had to drive for kilometres before finding one in Halle. While the countryside was pretty, I don't think we have any reason to go back to this area.
